<\/a><\/p>\nBusiness school holds their second annual internal competition.<\/em><\/p>\n The Chapman School also was one of the winners in the College of Business Administration\u2019s own decorating contest.<\/p>\n For this internal competition, prizes were awarded for best homecoming decoration to:<\/p>\n \u201cAt the Chapman School, their entire floor was decorated and it was clear nobody missed out,\u201d said Yanyn San Luis <\/strong>(BA \u201910), coordinator, student and alumni\u00a0 relations. She and Melissa Izquierdo<\/strong> (BBA \u201910), coordinator, corporate and community relations, handled the details of homecoming events for the business school.<\/p>\n \u201cBlue and gold was everywhere in the business school, and so was FIU Spirit!\u201d said Izquierdo. <\/strong>\u201cMany people used mascot Roary but adapted him to the business school, such as putting him in a suit.\u201d<\/p>\n Competition judge Raul Gonzalez<\/strong> (MSHRM \u201908, BBA \u201998), manager, human resources, said the cleverness of the contestants made it tough to select winners.<\/p>\n \u201cI was looking for spirit, creativity and effort,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat surprised me was the attention to detail in each of the winning areas.\u201d<\/p>\n Winners were announced and prizes of gift baskets were awarded at the business school\u2019s pep rally on November 4th.<\/p>\n The business school staff and students also decorated a float for the homecoming parade held November 6th.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were very pleased with the spirit of the college during homecoming season,\u201d said Annabelle Rojas<\/strong> (MBA \u201998, BBA \u201987), assistant dean, advancement, alumni, and corporate relations. \u201cParticipating in the homecoming week helps to strengthen the strong team spirit that we already have.\u201d<\/p>\n Rojas said the tradition will continue for Homecoming 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Beating out the competition comes naturally to the Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University (FIU), one of the country\u2019s top business schools.
