Most definitely, as five area universities&#8212;University of Miami School of Architecture, University of Central Florida, University of Florida Friends &amp; Alumni of Real Estate, Florida State University Real Estate Network and the Nova Southeastern University Real Estate Network&#8212;came together to join Florida International University (FIU) for the recent Real Estate Alumni Mega Happy Hour Networker. Held at the Tarpon Bend restaurant in Coral Gables, the event was hosted by FIU\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/alumni\/affinity_groups\/real_estate\/real_estate.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Real Estate Alumni Affinity Council<\/a> (REAAC).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10575\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10575\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/tn_Vice-President-Poster-w-Flyer-and-President.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10575\" title=\"tn_Vice President, Poster w Flyer and President\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/tn_Vice-President-Poster-w-Flyer-and-President.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10575\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">REAAC Vice President Rafael Fermoselle (BBA \u201909) and Dan Berkovitz <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>More than 100 real estate professionals, alumni, students, faculty and community members gathered to mix, mingle and discuss the current South Florida real estate market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thought it a great idea to reach out to other alumni groups that share our passion and commitment to real estate,\u201d said <strong>Dan Berkovitz<\/strong> (BBA \u201910), president, REAAC. \u201cWe are delighted with the results and hope to plan another Mega Networker event in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berkovitz offers a special \u201cthank you\u201d to Wayne Eldred from Tarpon Bend who gave the attendees free drink tickets and served them delicious complimentary hors d&#8217;oeuvres.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10576\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10576\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/tn_Board-member-Wenceslao-with-Robert-Meneses-former-board-member-and-Stella-Tulchinsky.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10576\" title=\"tn_Board member Wenceslao, with Robert Meneses (former board member), and Stella Tulchinsky\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/tn_Board-member-Wenceslao-with-Robert-Meneses-former-board-member-and-Stella-Tulchinsky.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10576\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wenceslao Fernandez Jr. (BBA &#39;92), Robert Meneses (BBA &#39;00) former REAAC board member and attendee Stella Tulchinsky<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>Attendee sees mega benefits from networking event.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A residential realtor currently enrolled in the College of Business Administration\u2019s MSIRE program, <strong>Paola Echeverri<\/strong> (BS \u201906) attended this event because she saw it as a great networking opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only was this an enjoyable experience but also a very fruitful one,\u201d she said. \u201cI met some very important people, which allowed me to expand my network. In real estate, a network is fundamental to your success.
