The college has achieved this ranking each year since 2005, securing a spot in the top 10 three times; in 2011, FIU\u00a0 Business was 16<sup>th<\/sup>. The consistently high ranking demonstrates the success the business school is achieving in what is one of its strategic areas of focus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Untitled1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-14274\" title=\"Untitled\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Untitled1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u201cThe recognition of our program among the best universities in the United States is a source of invigoration in all that we do here\u201d said K. Galen Kroeck, chair, Department of Management and International Business. \u201cOur status in the <em>U.S.News &amp; World Report<\/em> ranking creates a bond between the faculty and students because they know that we are in this together and jointly share the prestige.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kroeck and his colleagues are already looking ahead to next year and beyond to continue to have the college\u2019s international business programs highly ranked in this, and other, surveys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that we cannot rest on the acclaim as it is short-lived without continued enhancement of what we do,\u201d he said. \u201cOther schools are doing more in international business all the time. We plan to raise our ranking by holding our students to even higher standards of global understanding and creating greater visibility for our accomplishments, particularly in the realm of international experiential learning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Rankings derive from peer evaluations. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>To obtain its undergraduate business school rankings, <em>U.S.News<\/em> surveys deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be recognized by <em>U.S.News &amp; World Report<\/em> for the eighth consecutive year,\u201d said Joyce J. Elam, executive dean of the business school. \u201cI congratulate the faculty for their contributions in enabling us to again offer one of the top international business undergraduate programs in the country.
