When Donald Roomes (MBA \u201990), a faculty member in the Department of Management and International Business in the College of Business Administration at Florida International University (FIU), decided to attend a September 8th<\/sup> dessert reception for undergraduate student leaders, he had a set of expectations.<\/p>\n \u201cI looked forward to the opportunity to network with students and to increase my knowledge of ways I can serve them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Those expectations were certainly met as 25 faculty members and 50 student leaders had a chance to get to know one another. But Roomes also was surprised by one aspect of the reception.<\/p>\n
