In March, 30 members of Future Business Leaders of America\u2013Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) from Florida International University (FIU) captured 32 awards from the organization\u2019s 2012 State Leadership Conference.<\/p>\n
Thanks to their victories, they earned the right to compete for 17 awards at the 61st<\/sup> Annual National Leadership Conference, \u201cGateway to Greatness,\u201d held in San Antonio, Texas from June 24-27, 2012.<\/p>\n And compete they did. The 18-student delegation from the College of Business Administration won 15 awards—including three first-place finishes. That number exceeded the chapter\u2019s record-breaking 13 awards in 2011 and placed FIU ahead of University of Texas, University of Pittsburgh and University of California-Berkeley, among many others. More than 500 chapters\/universities attended.<\/p>\n
