<\/a>Coletto\u2019s recognition provided a much-needed boost of support for his entrepreneurial efforts.<\/p>\n
\u201cEntrepreneurship can be intimidating,\u201d said Coletto, whose company has grown from the three original founders to a staff of seven in the past year. \u201cThis recognition is someone from the outside saying, \u2018You guys have the right stuff.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Coletto credits much of his success to two opportunities offered by the Pino Center:\u00a0 the Americas Venture Capital Conference (AVCC) and the Business Plan Challenge.<\/p>\n
The 2011 AVCC gave his company the opportunity to pitch to investors looking to fund growing ventures. It also brought his early-stage venture to the attention of dozens of experienced investors and analysts, who offered a wealth of advice on next steps. A focus on growth has nearly doubled the number of client schools for the online note-sharing platform.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conference propelled us into the limelight, and it brought awareness of who we are,\u201d he said. \u201cPeople started following us back then, and they\u2019re the same people who are in touch with us now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Business Plan Challenge helps entrepreneurs map success strategies. <\/em><\/p>\n Milana V.
