Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business in the College of Business at Florida International University (FIU) has earned Top Ten finishes for its marketing and international business specialties in the highly regarded 2013 <em>Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em>\u2019s survey of business programs at U.S. colleges and universities.<\/p>\n<p>The school\u2019s marketing specialty placed seventh among all schools surveyed, and the international business specialty placed eighth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese recognitions from <em>Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em> help confirm our success in providing the highest-quality experience for our students in the Landon Undergraduate School,\u201d said David R. Klock, dean of the college. \u201cWe will continue to offer opportunities to a world-class education to all our students as we help prepare them to make important contributions across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Survey looks at 124 business schools.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The specialty rankings are based on student responses on an online survey in which they rank their program\u2019s specialty business offerings. An A translates into one point, an F receives five; the numbers are then averaged for each school, with the lowest number indicating the highest ranking.<\/p>\n<p>In the marketing specialty, the average score for all 124 undergraduate business schools in the ranking was 1.41, and FIU\u2019s ranking was 1.207. The average international business score in the ranking was 1.515, with FIU\u2019s ranking at 1.246.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing included among the top ten in these specialties is important validation for our efforts,\u201d Klock said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The R.
