{"id":2389,"date":"2009-06-24T16:18:30","date_gmt":"2009-06-24T20:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/?p=2389"},"modified":"2014-11-14T16:00:51","modified_gmt":"2014-11-14T21:00:51","slug":"eight-faculty-members-add-promotion-to-their-list-of-accomplishments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/2009\/06\/eight-faculty-members-add-promotion-to-their-list-of-accomplishments\/","title":{"rendered":"Eight faculty members add promotion to their list of accomplishments."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The College  of Business Administration congratulates eight faculty members on their recent promotions to the next rung of the academic ladder.<\/p>\n<p>The following were promoted from associate professor to full professor: <strong>Irma Becerra-Fernandez<\/strong>, Department of Decision Sciences and Information Systems, Knight Ridder Research Professor of Management Information Systems and director, Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center; <strong>Chun-Hao Chang<\/strong>, chair, Department of Finance and Real Estate, <strong>William Hardin<\/strong>, director, real estate programs, Department of Finance and Real Estate and Knight Ridder Center Research Professor; and <strong>Walfried  Lassar<\/strong>, chair, Department of Marketing, Ryder Professor and director, Ryder Center for Supply Chain Management.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2426\" title=\"FIU Faculty\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/fac1.jpg\" alt=\"FIU Faculty\" width=\"557\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Four faculty members were promoted from the rank of assistant professor to associate professor and received tenure: <strong>Kaushik Dutta<\/strong>, Department of Decision Sciences and Information Systems; <strong>Ken H.
