This year the event, held at the Special Events Center, was open to graduates of both the R. Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business and the Alvah H. Chapman Jr. Graduate School of Business.<\/p>\n<p>Food, drink and live music put everyone in the holiday spirit as guests, numbering almost 100, reminisced, got caught up and made new connections.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/alumni-event.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24687\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/alumni-event.jpg\" alt=\"alumni-event\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/alumni-event.jpg 600w, https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/alumni-event-230x130.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Dean debuts video at gathering.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During a short presentation, Jennifer Quintana, director of Alumni Relations, welcomed the group. Dean David Klock briefed everyone on recent college events and showed a new <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/6tUH19cqmQg\" target=\"_blank\">video<\/a> that featured recent accomplishments including high rankings for the college in<em> U.S. News <\/em>and in <em>Bloomberg Business Week<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have had an exciting year in the College of Business,\u201d Dean Klock said. \u201cThank you for your time, your talent and your moral and financial support. It means so much to us.\u201d<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6tUH19cqmQg\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><em>Business groups use the opportunity to gather.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Among those attending the reception were members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/alumni\/business_alumni_chapter.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Business Alumni Chapter<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/realestate\/reacc.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">The Real Estate Alumni Affinity Council (REAAC)<\/a> and the college\u2019s newly formed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FIUMAAC\" target=\"_blank\">Marketing Alumni Affinity Council<\/a>.
