<\/a><\/p>\n A group of graduates of Florida International University (FIU) in Broward County started the New Year having fun and making connections at Bokamper\u2019s Sports Grill in Miramar. The event on January 8, 2015 was organized by two groups: the Broward Alumni Chapter<\/a>, which serves all Panthers living or working in Broward County, and the Business Alumni Chapter<\/a>, which organizes programs and events for alumni of FIU\u2019s College of Business.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cMeeting other alumni adds value to our degrees,\u201d said J. David Lenis (BBA \u201912), a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and a member of both chapters. \u201cAll things being equal, I\u2019d rather work with an FIU alum. Events like this help all of us meet more fellow FIU graduates and reconnect with those I already know.\u201d<\/p>\n
