Five students from the College of Business have been named Worlds Ahead graduates for Fall 2016. Each was applauded for their accomplishments by FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg at commencement ceremonies for College of Business<\/a> students on December 11 and 12, 2016.<\/p>\n Established in 2010, FIU\u2019s Worlds Ahead recognition goes to individuals with strong leadership qualities, a desire to change lives and a record of academic achievement.<\/p>\n Jeffee Alexandre (BBA \u201916)<\/strong><\/p>\n Born in Haiti, Alexandre moved to the U.S. at age 9 following his mother\u2019s death, accompanied by his father and five siblings. His father worked two jobs and at age 12 Alexandre began working weekends, continuing this through middle school and most of high school.<\/p>\n Alexandre enrolled at FIU, studying full-time to earn his BBA in finance<\/a> while also working full-time. He has been an involved member of ALPFA FIU, coordinating many projects, and also served as a member of Techgroup and Toastmasters @ FIU Business.<\/p>\n In February, he completed an internship at PwC\u2019s Risk Assurance practice and has job offers from JP Morgan Risk Management, Bank of America Finance Management Associate Program (FMAP) and IBM Consulting.<\/p>\n Alexandre hopes to pursue an MBA through Harvard Business School\u2019s 2+2 Program, a deferred admission program\u00a0for students who enroll after working two years.<\/p>\n
