Building on its achievements as a global business leader, the FIU College of Business\u2019 online graduate programs<\/a> posted double-digit gains in U.S. News & World Report\u2019s<\/em> 2017 edition of the Best Online Graduate Education Programs.<\/p>\n The College of Business\u2019 online MBA<\/a> programs ranked 42nd<\/sup>, up 18 spots from 60th<\/sup> in 2016. The non-MBA online graduate programs<\/a> were ranked 16th<\/sup>, marking their first time in the Top 20, and a gain from 30th<\/sup> in 2016.<\/p>\n These are the highest rankings to date for FIU\u2019s online MBA and online specialized masters programs in U.S. News\u2019<\/em> well-regarded survey.<\/p>\n The College of Business\u2019 online graduate degrees include the Corporate MBA<\/a> and the Healthcare MBA<\/a> as well as the Master in International Business<\/a>, the Master of Science in International Real Estate<\/a> and the Master of Science in Human Resource Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n The online programs focus on accessibility and immediacy, offering students increased convenience while learning at an accelerated rate using cohort-based models.<\/p>\n \u201cThis recognition from U.S. News & World Report is further evidence that FIU\u2019s\u00a0College of Business is delivering high quality, innovative degrees that meet the needs of professionals who want to advance their careers with the flexibility of online programs,\u201d said Jose M. Aldrich, acting dean of the College of Business.<\/p>\n Online education isn\u2019t on the periphery<\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n FIU\u2019s College of Business is one of the early adopters of online education. The college launched a pilot project consisting of ten online courses in 1999 and has continued to expand those offerings while introducing the latest technology. Today the college offers five graduate degree programs.<\/p>\n The fully-online Corporate MBA<\/a> was launched in 2009. In the fall of 2012, the graduate school introduced the online Master in International Business<\/a>, the Master of Science in International Real Estate<\/a> and the Master of Science in Human Resource Management<\/a>. The Healthcare MBA<\/a>, launched in 2010, added an online version in 2013.<\/p>\n U.S. News\u2019 rankings are based on factors including the number of graduates and time to degree rates, colleges\u2019 technological infrastructure and student indebtedness as well as faculty preparedness to teach distance learners and the available technical staff.<\/p>\n To appear in the U.S. News<\/em> survey, programs must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).<\/p>\n FIU\u2019s College of Business has been recognized frequently in the past years for its leading role in the development of new global business leaders. It has received top honors from Hispanic Business, Financial Times, Modern Healthcare, U.S. News & World Report, Am\u00e9ricaEconom\u00eda, CNN Expansi\u00f3n, and Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em>.<\/p>\n
