Three College of Business alumnae are among Fortune<\/em> magazine\u2019s 50 Most Powerful Latinas of 2017. They join three other FIU graduates and members of the FIU community on the ranking, which highlights Latinas\u2019 growing presence in corporate America.<\/p>\n The list, compiled by\u00a0The Association of Latino Professionals for America, includes\u00a0female executives running Fortune<\/em> 500 companies or large private firms and entrepreneurs leading global initiatives.<\/p>\n \u201cThese remarkable women used their FIU education to assume leadership roles in the corporate world,\u201d said Jose Aldrich, acting dean of the College of Business. \u201cWe are proud of their accomplishments, and of the ongoing relationships they have with our college and our university. They are important role models for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n The four-criteria used in the ranking were: the size and importance of the woman\u2019s business in the global economy, the health and direction of the business, the arc of the woman\u2019s career\u2014r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and runway ahead\u2014and their social and cultural influence.<\/p>\n Among these powerful women are the chair of the FIU Board of Trustees, four alumnae and two former advisory board members.<\/p>\nFIU Business Alumnae<\/strong><\/h3>\n
