A research paper authored by Associate Professor Antoinette Smith<\/a> and Assistant Professor Jonathan Milian<\/a> titled \u201cAn Investigation of Analysts’ Praise of Management During Earnings Conference Calls\u201d was highlighted a story titled \u201cGreat Groveling, Guys: Counting All the Ways Analysts Fawn Over Management\u201d published in The Wall Street Journal<\/em> on March 10, 2017. The paper was featured in the March 17, 2017 edition of Fortune.com\u2019s Data Sheet, and in a story titled \u201cAnother great quarter: study reveals how much analysts praise management\u201d published in IR Magazine<\/em> on March 17, 2017.<\/p>\n Instructor Ali Gungoraydinoglu<\/a> and Associate Professor Ozde Oztekin<\/a> have authored a paper titled\u00a0“Political environment, financial intermediation costs, and financing patterns,”\u00a0which has been accepted for publication in the June, 2017 issue of the Journal of Corporate Finance<\/em>.<\/p>\n Professor Emeritus Emmanuel N. Roussakis<\/a>\u2019 book titled \u201cBasics of International Banking\u201d has been published by XanEdu.<\/p>\n Professor Dinesh Batra<\/a>, Associate Professor Weidong Xia<\/a> and PhD student Ming Zhang<\/strong> have authored a paper titled “Collaboration in Agile Software Development: Concept and Dimensions,\u201d which has been accepted for publication in Communications of the Association for Information Systems.<\/em><\/p>\n Assistant Professor Keum Seok<\/a> has authored a paper titled “Learning Effects of Domain, Technology, and Customer Knowledge in Information Systems Development: An Empirical Study,” which has been accepted for publication in Information Systems Research<\/em>.<\/p>\n Chair and Associate Professor Monica Chiarini Tremblay<\/a> and Assistant Professor Min Chen<\/a> have authored a paper, titled \u201cInformation Quality Challenges in Shared Healthcare Decision Making,\u201d which has been accepted for publication the ACM Journal of Data and Information Quality<\/em>.<\/p>\n Tremblay also presented a talk titled \u201cRecycling and Repurposing data for Business Insight: Understanding the relationship between inferential utility and institutional practices in user generated electronic documentation\u201d at the Temple University Fox School of Business Distinguished Speakers series on Feb. 17, 2017.<\/p>\n President Emeritus Modesto A. Maidique<\/a>, who holds the Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Eminent Scholar Chair in Leadership, and David A. Nabors, research director at the Chapmanville Leadership Development Program,\u00a0wrote a column titled \u201cFIU can train better county leaders,\u201d which ran in the Miami Herald<\/em> on March 13, 2017.<\/p>\n Professor Jerry Haar<\/a> wrote an op-ed column entitled \u201cHow Are We Doing in Innovation That Adds High-Skilled Jobs?\u201d published in Miami Today<\/em>, March 16, 2017. Haar also penned \u201cInbound FDI\u2014A Bright Spot for the U.S. in Global Commerce,\u201d for the March 23, 2017 edition of Miami Today<\/em>. He also wrote a column titled \u201cA breakthrough in measuring corporate sustainability\u201d\u00a0published in Latin Trade<\/em> magazine, April 6, 2017.<\/p>\n Haar was featured in a live interview on April 6, 2017 segment titled \u201cTrade in the US\u201d on CNN Dinero, a program on CNN en Espa\u00f1ol. He was also quoted in a story titled \u201cAfter 2 years in the doldrums, economies in the Americas are back on the road to growth,\u201d which ran in the Miami Herald<\/em> April 24, 2017.<\/p>\n Adjunct G.
