Maria C. Alonso (MBA \u201891) was named president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Miami-Dade. She was previously senior vice president and Miami market manager at Bank of America.<\/p>\n

Felipe Inoa (MS \u201907) has started a new job as head of information technology for the Americas at TMF Group, which provides financial and administrative support to companies in more than 80 countries.<\/p>\n

Juan Carlos Gallegos, (MS \u201915), product manager for CareCloud, spoke at HxRefactored 2017 in Boston on June 20, 2017, a conference focusing on improving health experiences through human-centered design and technology.<\/p>\n

Lenny Ardiles (MS \u201910) has started a new job as a data engineer for Enterprise Asset Management. He handles\u00a0data warehousing using Amazon Redshift.<\/p>\n

Ultimate Software promoted Lawanda Green, (MS \u201910) to Manager of System Analysis. Previously, she held the position of Team Lead–System Analysis at the company.<\/p>\n

The Florida Virtual School in Orlando has hired Neida Ortiz-Beauvoir (MS \u201913) as a quality assurance specialist.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Simoens (BBA \u201903, MIB \u201906) has been named commercial banking director at\u00a0Florida Community Bank and is based in Weston.<\/p>\n

Roni Kirchheimer (MS \u201912) has been promoted to data warehouse specialist\u00a0at Baptist Health South Florida. Previously, he was a business intelligence consultant\u00a0at Baptist Health South Florida.<\/p>\n

Legna Gonzalez (MSF \u201905) has been named managing director of investments and program director, CUSO Financial Services, L.P. at Power Financial Credit Union in Pembroke Pines.<\/p>\n

Monica Balda (BBA \u201904) was recognized as an Emerging Professional within the field of supply chain and given a scholarship from Capital One. She received the award at the Institute for Supply Management\u2019s annual conference.<\/p>\n

John Baez (MS \u201912) is senior business intelligence solutions consultant at BIGBI Solutions. Previously, he was business intelligence manager at Steiner Leisure Limited.<\/p>\n

Governor Rick Scott awarded Lynne Gassant (MS \u201815) with the Volunteer Florida Champion of Service Award. Gassant is executive director of Scholar Career Coaching, a nonprofit organization that provides after school mentoring services to South Florida high school students, particularly those who speak English as a second language.<\/p>\n

The South Florida Business Journal honored three College of Business graduates at its 40 Under 40 awards ceremony, held August 4, 2017 at Jungle Island in Miami: Andre Llop (MBA \u201913), Hector Antunez, (BBA \u201906), and Laura Elder (MSTx \u201903).<\/p>\n
