Maidique Campus.<\/p>\n<p>At the morning commencement, approximately 270 students from the <a href=\"https:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/graduate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvah H. Chapman Graduate School of Business<\/a> received a master\u2019s degree, with alumnus Francisco \u201cFrank\u201d Gonzalez (BACC \u201990) receiving the FIU Medallion. At the afternoon ceremony, approximately 740 students from the <a href=\"https:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/undergraduate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">R. Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business<\/a> were recognized for earning a bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n<p>At both ceremonies, President Mark B. Rosenberg welcomed those gathered and offered his congratulations to FIU\u2019s newest alumni. Dean Joanne Li presented diplomas to the graduates.<\/p>\n<p>Three faculty members from the College of Business performed <em>The<\/em> <em>National Anthem <\/em>and the <em>FIU Alma Mater at the morning ceremony<\/em>: S. Christopher Ellis, Donald Roomes and Louis Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/slideShow\/index.gne?group_id=&amp;user_id=23794481@N04&amp;set_id=72157695645283004\/show\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" align=\"middle\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Guest speakers bring wisdom, challenge graduates. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the Chapman ceremony, held at 10 a.m., Gonzalez, a member of the FIU Foundation Board of Directors and principal of the audit department at Morrison, Brown, Argiz &amp; Farra, received the Outstanding Alumnus FIU Medallion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI challenge each and every one of you 2018 graduates to go out there and tell the world what FIU Business is all about,\u201d Gonzalez told students. \u201cJoin us in making this university even greater to those coming behind you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the Landon ceremony, held at 3 p.m., Shaun Budnik, KPMG partner and national audit innovation leader, urged graduates to channel their inner resources and reach high.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Recognize your strength, your resilience and let your imagination change the world,&#8221; Budnik, said. &#8220;It\u2019s your world. In you, I see the face of our future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>College employees add degrees to their list of accomplishments.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Several FIU Business employees were among those receiving degrees at Spring 2018 commencement ceremonies. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Daniel Robles (BS \u201918), student assistant in the Office of the Dean, received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He will become a mission leader for University Christian Outreach. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Aujanae Watson (BA \u201918), student assistant at the Department of Management and International Business, received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Kowoon Kim (PhD \u201918), graduate assistant in the Department of Management and International Business received a PhD in Management and International Business. <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a day to celebrate a life-changing milestone.
