For the second straight year, FIU College of Business\u2019 human resource management degree programs have set themselves above the competition, capturing national No. 1 rankings for both graduate and undergraduate programs.<\/p>\n

FIU Business\u2019 Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) and the college\u2019s undergraduate human resources management program<\/a> have been ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for 2019 by HR.com<\/a>. The ranking was announced at the annual LEAD.com conference in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 5, 2019. The HR.com award was accepted by Global Leadership and Management faculty member Eric Cartaya, who also serves as faculty advisor to the FIU Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Student Chapter.<\/p>\n

FIU\u2019s human resources programs have been consistently honored for the past four years by HR.com. The Master of Science in Human Resource Management<\/a> program was ranked No. 2 in 2016 and 2017, and the undergraduate program was ranked No. 2 in 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very proud, not only of these rankings, but of the outstanding FIU Business faculty members who train the ambitious HR professionals of our community,\u201d said Joanne Li, dean of FIU Business.<\/p>\n

Marc Weinstein, academic director of Masters\u2019 of Science In HR programs at the College of Business, noted that the program\u2019s consistently excellent reputation in the community, and strong relationships with the community of practitioners, continues to serve both students and alumni. \u201cSkilled, well-trained human resources professionals are critical to C-suite leaders, and ultimately, a successful workplace,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are very proud of FIU\u2019s leading role in training these valued professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n

The programs focus on accessibility and convenience for students and practitioners. Nationally, the Masters program is the only AACSB-accredited human resources program offered both face-to-face and online, and the undergraduate program is the only on-line and face-to-face degree program focusing solely on HR in the State University System of Florida. <\/p>\n

Global Learning and Management Department Chair Juan Sanchez designed and launched the program in 2002 and served as its academic director until 2006.<\/p>\n

In addition to to its availability on FIU\u2019s main campus, the Master\u2019s program is also offered in Broward County, at FIU\u2019s I-75 facility, where it has been well received by area professionals.
