Entering the next chapter in their careers, nearly 1,400 brand-new FIU College of Business FIU Business alumni proudly celebrated their achievements at three FIU Commencement ceremonies, held December 16, 2019 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.<\/p>\n
At a morning ceremony for the Chapman Graduate School of Business, more than 525 master\u2019s and PhD degrees were awarded. They included faculty member Jaclyn L. Tanenbaum, who received a PhD for her dissertation, \u201cThe Shift from Conspicuous to Inconspicuous Consumption and the Messages Hidden in Plain Sight.\u201d At afternoon and evening ceremonies for the Landon Undergraduate School, more than 850 students were awarded degrees.<\/p>\n
FIU Business Dean Joanne Li and FIU President Mark Rosenberg greeted the graduates as they walked the stage. FIU Business faculty members S. Christopher Ellis, Donald Roomes and Louis Melbourne sang the National Anthem and the FIU Alma Mater at the ceremonies.<\/p>\n
Students honored as \u201cWorlds Ahead Graduates.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n President Rosenberg singled out six FIU Business graduates as Worlds Ahead for overcoming obstacles and forging a path to success.<\/p>\n
