Elam<\/strong>; Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Inductee (Founder) <strong>Margarita Gonzalez<\/strong> (BBA \u201906), president and CFO of AccuBANKER, and<strong> Rolando Gonzalez<\/strong>, Margarita\u2019s husband and business partner<\/em><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>The eighth annual Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame (EHOF) Induction Ceremony and Luncheon on May 16, 2007, at Parrot Jungle Island, proved to be the best one to date, with more than 500 guests in attendance. The event again recognized the contributions of the college\u2019s alumni entrepreneurs and other entrepreneurial pioneers in the community to our region\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackie  Nespral<\/strong>, NBC 6 news anchor, and <strong>Ambrosio Hernandez<\/strong>, Telemundo 51  news anchor, emceed the event alongside <strong>Rochelle Broder-Singer<\/strong>, editor of <em>SouthFloridaCEO, <\/em><strong>Joyce J. Elam<\/strong>, executive dean of  the college, and <strong>Nicholas Bustle<\/strong>, Miami-Dade County  president for SunTrust Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony\u2019s theme\u2014\u201cRhythm of Entrepreneurship\u201d\u2014drew its inspiration from the event\u2019s live musical performance featuring special guest artist and two-time Grammy-nominated, singer\/songwriter, Elsten \u201cFulano\u201d Torres. <strong>Demian Bellumio <\/strong>(BBA\u201900), CEO of Hoodiny  Entertainment and Elhood.com, provided this musical treat.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" width=\"130\" align=\"left\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/business.fiu.edu\/newsletters\/BusinessNetworks\/2007\/06\/images\/tonyArgiz_award.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"186\" \/><br \/>\n<em>SunTrust Bank President, Miami-Dade County, <strong>Nicholas Bustle<\/strong>; College of Business Administration Executive Dean <strong>Joyce J. Elam<\/strong>; Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Inductee (Builder) <strong>Antonio Argiz<\/strong> (BBA \u201974), managing partner, Morrison, Brown, Argiz, &amp; Farra, LLP.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>During  the ceremony itself, <strong>Margarita Gonzalez <\/strong>(BBA \u201806), president and CFO, of AccuBANKER, became the first woman ever to be inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in the \u201cFounder\u201d category. <strong>Antonio \u201cTony\u201d Argiz <\/strong>(BBA \u201974), managing partner, Morrison, Brown, Argiz, &amp; Farra,  LLP, was inducted into the Hall in the \u201cBuilder\u201d category.<\/p>\n<p>The 2007 South  Florida Entrepreneur of the Year award, given to a non-alumnus\/a, was presented  to <strong>Miriam Lopez<\/strong>, chairman and CEO of TransAtlantic Bank. An outstanding entrepreneur and contributing member to South Florida\u2019s entrepreneurial community, Lopez serves on Florida International University\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSunTrust is very proud of our  long-term involvement with the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame,\u201d<strong> Nicholas  Bustle<\/strong>, Miami-Dade County president for SunTrust Bank, told the audience. \u201cMiami and the entire South Florida region were built on the shoulders of small business entrepreneurs, and the economic success and vitality of our region continue to be driven by them.
