The award, which came from the FIU Information Technology Administrators (ITA) Committee, recognized Schins for his continued contribution to the business school and the recent execution of the college\u2019s lab virtualization.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Stefan_Schins.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6560\" title=\"Stefan_Schins\" src=\"https:\/\/biznews.fiu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Stefan_Schins.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The recipient must meet all or most of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>been a FIU employee for at least six months prior to the nomination;<\/li>\n<li>performed above the standard required of his\/her job description;<\/li>\n<li>provided exemplary service to the FIU community; and<\/li>\n<li>created an application that was implemented and used for the good of the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stefan Schins, network\/security manager in the College of Business Administration\u2019s Technology Center, was named the \u201cFlorida International University (FIU) Information Technology Employee of the Month\u201d on February 4, 2010.
