Thirty undergraduate business students from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic came to the United States to gain knowledge about international commerce—and Florida International University (FIU).<\/p>\n
The attendees participated in the Inbound Study Tour in International Commerce program held on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. The non-credit study module, designed by Jerry Haar<\/strong>, associate dean for international programs in FIU\u2019s College of Business Administration, was developed and administered by the Office of Executive & Professional Education (EPE).<\/p>\n \u201cParticipants learned about the latest trends in international business,\u201d Haar said. \u201cFrom the structure of the agenda and quality of the speakers to the site visits and interaction with faculty and executives, the program was a great success.\u201d<\/p>\n The study module was designed to give UNIBE an effective way to promote FIU\u2019s Undergraduate Dual Degree program<\/a>, patterned after the business school\u2019s successful graduate program, offered through a global network of universities with leading business programs. During the one-week program, students experienced the Modesto A. Maidique campus and academic life.<\/p>\n
