FIU BusinessĀ has been ranked No. 1 in the world for real estate research productivity by theĀ Journal of Real Estate Literature.
FIU Business surpassed the well-known National University of Singapore for the top spot internationally in the just released rankings following six consecutive years in one of the top two spots.

The Real Estate Academic Leadership (REAL) rankings highlight faculty and university contributions to the field of real estate research from 2017-2021. FIU Business faculty outranked those of established programs including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Florida State University, Cornell University, and University of Wisconsin ā Madison.
āThe Hollo School of Real Estate at FIU Business is continuing to gain momentum, with the increasing quality of graduates and on the research front as well as with the support we receive from the professional real estate community,ā said Eli Beracha, director of theĀ Hollo School.
The rankings are based on the number of publications in the top three peer-reviewed real estate journals: theĀ Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics,Ā theĀ Journal of Real Estate Research,Ā andĀ Real Estate EconomicsĀ ā from 2017-2021. During that period, FIUās real estate faculty members had 52 contributions.
āAfter slowly reaching the No. 1 position in the U.S. in terms of research productivity, we tied last year for No. 1 in the world and this year we are the clear No. 1 institution in the world by a large margin,ā Beracha added.
Three FIU Business real estate professors were ranked in The top 5 of the REAL Author Rankings. Hardin, who published 14 articles was ranked No. 2. Professor Zhenguo Lin, with 12 articles, was ranked No. 3 and Eli Beracha, who published 11 articles, tied for fourth place.
In addition to theĀ Master of Science in International Real Estate, offered in both traditional and online forums, FIU Business offers an undergraduate degree in real estate, and houses the Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute.
