When Holger Kamin (IMBA ’00) wrote an article titled “Globalize or Die! Positing the Trends, Tactics and To-Dos in Global Affiliate Marketing” in 2007, he meant it. And it remains an essential part of his philosophy.
As founder of GSA Interactive Experience Consultants, with offices in Miami, San Francisco, Columbus, Phoenix and Sydney, he has a worldwide client base with his personal focus is on their strategic and business development. Having lived in seven countries, he feels his graduate work in the International MBA (IMBA) program in the College of Business Administration at Florida International University (FIU) helped prepare him well.
“I got a good head start because I learned from my colleagues—who were from 27 countries—about different global procedures,” he said, also praising the attention he received from faculty members and the exposure to real life applications.
His advice in addition to globalizing: “Take risks. Be creative . . . but try.”
