ā€œThe efforts weā€™ve made—through our Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), our International Business Honors (IB Honors) program in conjunction with FIUā€™s Honors College, our participation in the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE), our Alternative Break-Global Leadership and Service Project to Thailand (AB-GLSP) and our undergraduate Journal for Global Business and Community (JGBC)—are having a continuing impact on the quality of the education we offer and the degree to which itā€™s being recognized,ā€ said Robert Hogner, development director for undergraduate international business programs.

ā€œIā€™m delighted that the hard work by our faculty and staff to continuously improve our offerings in the area of international business has been recognized by U.S.News & World Report for the sixth consecutive year,ā€ said Joyce Elam, executive dean of the business school. ā€œI know the recognition is one factor that will inspire us to keep implementing our plans for improving our programs even more.ā€

To obtain its undergraduate business school rankings, U.S.News surveys deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Within its survey of the undergraduate business schools, the publication asks for nominations in certain business specialties, such as international business. According to the publication, the 2010 rankings are based solely on the peer survey conducted in the spring of 2009.
