Natalie Dwarika has joined the staff of Executive and Professional Education (EPE). She handles logistics for EPE’s popular international programs, including the inbound study tours, which bring students to campus for intense residencies.
One of those proved very intense for her, too.
“When I started the job, 43 Brazilian students arrived from the School of Higher Education in Marketing & Communication Management (ESPM) for a non-credit study module that gives participants classroom experiences and business visits,” Dwarika said. “The timing of their visit meant I dove into my responsibilities right away.”
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management, plus a natural resource management post graduate certificate, from University of West Indies in Barbados and an MBA from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, Trinidad and Tobago.
Prior to joining EPE, Dwarika was senior program coordinator for technical and vocational education in the National Training Agency in Trinidad and Tobago for eight years, followed by a stint at University of Phoenix in Miami. But she knew about FIU before working in Miami because her husband, Bishada Anthony (MIB ’09), was a dual degree graduate with an MBA from Arthur Lok Jack and a Master of International Business (MIB) from FIU.
“I enjoy being part of team, helping build that team and interacting with students,” she said.
