Proceeds from the annual Torch Awards Gala benefit the First Generation Scholarship Program, which provides financial support to undergraduate students who are the first generation in their families to attain a college degree. Since the program’s inception in 2006, more than 10,000 First Generation Scholarships have been allocated to FIU students.
Additionally, funds will be allocated for the future construction of the FIU Alumni Center.
