Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) will host deans from business school members of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA) for workshops and a Steering Committee meeting May 29 – 30, 2019.

The committee meeting takes place May 29, followed by a Dean’s Workshop, organized by CLADEA, on May 30. A workshop with the business community, organized by FIU Business, will be held on May 31 and will feature two panel discussions, “Digital Transformation: Challenges and Opportunities,” and “Technology Disruption and Lifelong Learning.” The panels include experts from such leading companies as SAP, Microsoft and IBM, as well as FIU Business faculty members. The three-day gathering is by invitation only.

“As a world leader in international business and education, FIU Business is delighted to host deans from around the world for this timely discussion on how technology is transforming higher education,” said FIU Business Dean Joanne Li, who serves on CLADEA’s eight-member Steering Committee.

CLADEA has 242 affiliated institutions representing 32 countries in the Americas, Europe and Oceania. The organization’s objectives include improving management teaching and promoting research on it, promoting management among social and economic organizations in Latin America, providing technical assistance to organizations committed to Latin America’s further development and organizing international seminars and other events to share ideas on resolving challenges in Latin America.
