The spring 2017 semester is off to a busy start at the College of Business with orientation and networking events, even a high-wire act, plus visits from prominent alumni, sharing their stories of finding success at FIU.

Kaufman Rossin Room

FIU School of Accounting students have been great sources of talent for Kaufman Rossin, one of Florida’s largest independent accounting firms. In appreciation for the firm’s $100,000 gift, Room 221 in MANGO was named for Kaufman Rossin.

Mentors and Networking

Students and their mentors shared a networking exercise in partnership with Career Management Services to prepare for their college-to-career transition. Face-to-face contact is key because it enhances relationship-building and showcases confidence and professionalism.

Filled with teambuilding exercises—culminating in a high-wire balancing act—the Healthcare MBA’s Ropes Course gives students the opportunity to work in teams and develop a strong affiliation with all their classmates.
