The most updated track for Hurricane Dorian suggests that parts of South Florida may be impacted by tropical storm force winds. Dorian is now Category 5 and bearing down on the Bahamas.
FIU administrators are monitoring the situation and looking to reopen the university as soon as it is safe to do so. Please continue to monitor the news media and look for university communication through email and on social media channels this evening regarding operations this week.
Classes are canceled through the Labor Day weekend. Today and Monday, 8th Street Campus Kitchen and Market at Breezeway will be open at MMC.
