Stefan Schins, network/security manager in the College of Business Administration’s Technology Center, was named the “Florida International University (FIU) Information Technology Employee of the Month” on February 4, 2010. The award, which came from the FIU Information Technology Administrators (ITA) Committee, recognized Schins for his continued contribution to the business school and the recent execution of the college’s lab virtualization.

The recipient must meet all or most of the following criteria:

• been a FIU employee for at least six months prior to the nomination;
• performed above the standard required of his/her job description;
• provided exemplary service to the FIU community; and
• created an application that was implemented and used for the good of the university.
