City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado recognized MBAF’s chairman and CEO, Tony Argiz (BAcc ’74), with a plaque from the city, congratulating the firm on its 44 years as a Miami-based business, on the occasion of the opening of its new offices.

The South Florida Chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade honored Francis Hondal (BBA ’87, MBA ’94) for the 2013 International Business Woman of the Year Award.

Sperry Van Ness Miami has added Maria Agon McCarthy (BBA ’86, MS ’90) as senior advisor specializing in commercial real estate. She joins the company with more than 18 years in commercial real estate brokerage and corporate real estate, and knowledge of both leasing and sales.

State Street Realty has named Ed Lyden (BBA ’89) executive vice president. Before his promotion, he was senior vice president of commercial sales and leasing with the company since October 2011.

Jose Tomas (BBA ’92, MS ‘03) has been named executive vice president and chief human resources officer of WellPoint, Inc.
