The College of Business welcomed its supporters back to campus in late June to thank them in a unique way. The Beyond Giving event, a first for the college, aimed to foster an awareness of how many ways community, alumni and donor support contribute to student achievement at the college.

The event was held June 30, 2016 at the Special Events Center of Florida International University’s College of Business Complex. Over 100 people came to network at a cocktail reception featuring live music and animated conversation about their experiences at the business school.

Acting Dean Jose Aldrich greeted the guests, thanked them for their support, and told them about some of the college’s recent rankings and achievements. He also premiered the Beyond Giving video, a look at the many ways donors, supporters, advocates and mentors had impacted students’ lives.

“You are a group of individuals who support us, day in and day out, not only with your donations but with your time,” he said. “All of the great rankings, all of the great things we do, we are able to do because of you.”
